What it's like to work here
Romantic poet William Wordsworth was born in this lovely Georgian townhouse, in the Cumbrian town of Cockermouth, over 250 years ago. Today, the National Trust cares for this site and welcomes visitors from around the world.

What you'll be doing
You’ll be working as part of a small site-based team to manage the day to day running of the visitor operation and offer. You’ll work collaboratively with your colleagues to prepare the site to open and proactively manage any issues arising during the day.
You'll welcome visitors as they arrive and help them understand the visitor offer. You’ll promote ways visitors can support the trust from membership to legacies and tell the stories that engage and inspire our visitors.
You’ll be ready to respond to challenges as they arise coming up with best fit solutions and seeing them through to completion. You'll learn how to complete new tasks and not get phased when things don’t go to plan.
