Residential Care Home in Hull are currently recruiting an experienced and committed Senior Care Assistant.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a senior care professional to help our team to deliver high standards of care to elderly residents.
Hours:
• Average 35 hours per week on a weekly rota.
• Alternate weekend working required.
• Shift patterns: 7:00 – 19:00 and 7:00 – 14:00.
• Flexibility is desirable due to possible sicknesses or holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leading shifts and supervising care staff.
• Motivate and provide guidance to the care assistance so they can provide the best care possible.
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the home alongside management.
• Administering medication as prescribed in line with training and policies, monitor stock of medications and order them when stock is running low.
• Ensuring high standards of person-centred care at all times.
• Acting as a senior point of contact for staff, residents, and families.
• Maintaining accurate care documentation and contributing to care planning.
• Support residents with all aspects of personal care whilst maintaining and promoting independence.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader.
• Medication Administration trained.
• Experience within elderly residential care.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• A compassionate and professional approach to care.
