As a Female Home Care Worker, you do one of the most important jobs in the community today. You help other people to retain as much independence as possible. At the same time, your presence indicates your client’s dependence. Promoting independence and providing a dependent service is not easy, and skill, sensitivity, kindness and above all humour is required. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and possess strong interpersonal skills. Duties include providing personal care, Domestic, shopping, meal preparation, social calls and any other tasks required. We value the amazing work that our Social Care Workers do every day and hire on values, meaning you don't need previous experience - Here at Churchfields we will give you full training and ongoing coaching development to give you everything you will need to become a great Social Care Worker.
This is a community based role - Area's to cover – Vale of Glamorgan: Barry, Dinas Powys & Sully. Drivers will be required to hold a full UK driving licence with use of your own vehicle.
Good sound knowledge of the areas within the Vale and use of own vehicle would be an advantage. Drivers preferred, walkers considered if situated locally.
NVQ 2/QCF in Health & Social Care preferred but other candidates will be considered depending on experience. Support to work towards QCF L2.
Previous experience would be an advantage but training will be provided.

What you can expect from us:
We understand that every member of our team has their own family to care for and this is why our role offers the flexibility to work around your own home life. You can choose between full-time or part-time work; all you have to do is simply tell us your availability. Although we try to be flexible where we can, we do require you to be flexible with us too, that’s why we will require you to work an agreed availability, including every other weekend.
Shifts Required
Morning shifts 8am - 2pm
Evening shifts 4pm - 10.30pm
Must be willing to work alternate Weekends
Hours to suit are considered depending on candidate
Registration with Social Care Wales is required and support will be given to do this during induction. This post will result in you having substantial contact with the elderly, sick or disabled. Churchfields Home Care, therefore, requires that by virtue of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975, the Police Act 1997, you reveal any criminal convictions, bind over orders or cautions, including those which would normally be regarded as spent. You must complete the relevant section on the application form – your application will be returned if this section is incomplete. If successful in your application, you will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
