The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Technical Support Officer to join our friendly team at our Aberdeen Campus on a zero-hour contract.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will be to attend to the care of our equines ensuring high welfare standards are maintained at all times. There will be additional duties of welfare checks for our small herd of ruminants who also reside at Sunnybrae Farm Stables. The facility is used to support the delivery of practical teaching sessions for students undertaking courses at SRUC Craibstone.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Feeding and watering equines and livestock
- Health checks equine and livestock, grooming and application of rugs
- Cleaning stables and field maintenance
- Leading horses to and from fields and stables
Minimum Qualifications:
We welcome applications from individuals with a genuine passion for working with animals. While not essential, holding an NC in Equine Studies, Agriculture or Animal Care, as well as BHS Levels 1 and 2, would be considered desirable and may strengthen your application by demonstrating relevant practical knowledge and experience.
