We’re delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in medicine to join a modern, well-established small animal practice in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. This role is perfect for a confident vet looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role leading medical cases within a supportive, progressive team.
The Practice
This is a spacious, purpose-built veterinary practice located centrally in Scunthorpe and fully equipped to support excellent clinical care, including:
• 4 modern consulting rooms
• Dedicated surgical theatre
• Digital X-ray suite
• Large preparation area
• Ultrasound & laparoscopy equipment
• Full in-house laboratory and blood machines
You’ll be supported by an experienced Lead Vet, a supportive Practice Manager, a dedicated Head RVN, and a skilled, long-standing nursing team, creating a positive environment for collaboration, learning, and clinical progression.
The Role
This role is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys the consult room and complex medical cases. You’ll have the opportunity to:
• Take clinical lead on a varied and interesting medical caseload
• Help drive high clinical standards and best practice
• Support and mentor colleagues and nurse consults
• Deliver outstanding patient and client care
• Enjoy autonomy while working within a close-knit team
With a busy caseload and excellent facilities, no two days are the same — your skills will be challenged and valued in all the right ways.
The Ideal Candidate
• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Confident and experienced in small animal medicine
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Passionate about clinical excellence and client care
• Keen to contribute to a positive, progressive practice culture
The Rota
• Full-time position
• 4-day working week
• 1:3 half or 1:6 full Saturdays
• No out-of-hours work
• Flexible working options considered
Salary & Benefits
• Salary up to £70,000 DOE
• 5 weeks annual leave + bank holidays (increasing with service)
