Location: Newtown, Birmingham B19
Daily Pay Rate: £110 - 120
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm

We are working with a welcoming primary school near Newtown to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within their SEND provision. This role focuses on supporting children with ADHD, Autism, non-verbal communication needs, and associated behavioural challenges. The school is easily accessible from the city centre and offers a supportive, structured environment where staff are truly valued. For the right person, the school are looking to turn this position into a permanent role.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide tailored support to SEND pupils
- Support pupils with ADHD, Autism and non-verbal needs
- Implement behaviour management strategies calmly and consistently
- Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver structured interventions
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils


What We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting SEND pupils in a primary or SEN setting
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Calm, patient and resilient approach
- Confidence supporting non-verbal communication (PECS, visuals, Makaton beneficial)
