Summary

Our client, a leading education provider in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, is seeking a passionate and experienced Part-time SEND Tutor to join their dedicated team. As a SEND Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in the Nottingham area.

In this part-time position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, individualised tutoring sessions to SEND students, helping them to overcome academic challenges and reach their full potential. Your primary duties will include:
- Assessing each student's unique learning needs and creating tailored lesson plans to address their specific requirements
- Delivering engaging and effective one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions, utilising a variety of teaching methods and resources
- Collaborating with the student's teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to their education
- Monitoring student progress, adjusting lesson plans as needed, and providing regular feedback to the student, their family, and our client
- Maintaining detailed records of student performance and progress, and submitting timely reports as required
- Staying up-to-date with the latest best practices, strategies, and technologies in the field of SEND education

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
- A teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or equivalent, with a specialism in SEND education
- Extensive experience (minimum 2 years) working as a SEND Tutor or in a similar role, supporting students with a wide range of learning needs
- A thorough understanding of the various SEND conditions and the strategies and techniques required to help these students thrive
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping SEND students overcome challenges and achieve their goals
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple students and schedules effectively
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field
