About the Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of learning difficulties and disabilities. Working closely with class teachers, the SEN coordinator, and other school staff, you'll ensure every student receives the individualised attention and resources they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students' learning in the classroom and during one-to-one or small-group sessions

Adapt and implement lesson plans to meet the specific needs of pupils with SEN

Provide emotional and behavioural support, helping students develop coping strategies and confidence

Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate effectively with teachers and parents/carers

Collaborate with the SEN coordinator to develop, review, and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Support pupils with personal care tasks, such as toileting, feeding, or medication administration, as required

About You

We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and proactive professional with:

A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field (e.g. , Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma or equivalent)

Experience working with children with SEN, ideally within a school or educational setting

A solid understanding of the challenges faced by pupils with SEN and strategies to support their learning and development
