Remedy Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a Lewisham primary school. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential in the crucial upper KS2 years.
About the Role
You will be working closely with Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, providing targeted support to small groups outside of the main classroom in preparation for SATs. Your role will involve:
- Delivering focused learning sessions aligned with the Upper KS2 curriculum
- Supporting pupils in English, Maths and wider subjects
- Helping to build confidence, independence and strong study habits
- Working collaboratively with class teachers to plan and deliver interventions
What We're Looking For
Applicants should:
- Be confident and knowledgeable in the Upper KS2 curriculum
- Have experience supporting pupils in a primary setting (school-based or placement)
- Be comfortable delivering learning activities to small groups
- Show strong communication, patience and organisational skills
- Be committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment
