Paragon Education is working closely with a specialist SEN school in Evesham to appoint a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.You will join a skilled and caring team that focuses on personalised learning, emotional support, and creating a calm and structured environment where every pupil can thrive. This role is ideal for someone with experience in SEN or a strong interest in supporting vulnerable young people.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with additional needs both in and outside the classroom
Assisting the class teacher in delivering personalised learning activities
Helping pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and engagement
Implementing behaviour support strategies in line with school policies
Building positive, trusting relationships with pupilsWorking closely with teachers, therapists, and wider support staff
Supporting EHCP targets and maintaining accurate pupil records
Requirements:
Experience supporting children with SEN (school-based or similar)
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt support to meet individual pupil needs
Genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers
Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
