Working Pattern: 42 Hours per week, Permanent | Full Time
Enerveo have an extensive street lighting business that manages over 1 million street lights across the UK and through design, project management, consultancy, installation, and maintenance we play a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints helping towns and cities become smarter, greener and more efficient which benefits us all.
Could you be our next Jointers Mate to join the team and drive this success forwards?
What will I be doing in this role?
You will be working throughout Devon maintaining and installing streetlighting and streetlight columns, LED upgrades, CMS cell upgrades and other highway electrical equipment.
As a Jointers Mate, you will support a Jointer in the installation and removal of streetlighting and other highways' electrical street furniture across the Devon region, including driving and operating a HIAB vehicle, and excavation of holes.
In a typical day, you could expect to be;
Working to strict safety guidelines and regulations
Excavation of pavement and roadways to prepare for the installation of lighting columns
Using a MEWP, Crane or other specialized equipment to assist installation teams
What do I need to be successful in the role?
Relevant authorisation to act as jointers mate for service connections to DNO/IDNO networks
An appropriate NVQ (e.g. C&G 6156) or equivalent qualification in highway excavation and reinstatement
A current NRSWA qualification (Units 1-9 preferred)
Allmi - Lorry Loader
211 - Lorry Mounted Crain Signal Slinger
Current full driving licence to drive vehicles up to and including LGV Cat C
A high degree of manual dexterity and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions all year round.
The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Some of our ‘nice to haves’
An HGV Class 2 Licence is a benefit but not essential
A current and relevant First Aid and Manual Handling certificate
A good understanding of the Highways Lighting business
