Alfa Holidays Group has an opportunity for a Weekend Traffic Assistant to join the team at Buckshaw Village.

Weekend Traffic Assistant working hours:

As a Traffic Assistant you will work 37.5 hours per week over 4 days which may vary through the summer dependant on the operations needs, but will include weekend working on Saturday and Sunday each week. This will be discussed during the interview process.

Annual Salary of £30,000 with 30 days of paid holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays! You will also be part of the on-call rota following successful training, with a supplement of £10 Monday-Thursday and £25 Friday-Sunday in addition.

The Weekend Traffic Assistant Role:

Your role will report to the Weekend Traffic Manager ensuring the weekend coach tour operation runs smoothly from both a compliance and guest satisfaction perspective. You will provide fix problems as and when they happen, providing guidance to drivers, interchange teams and liaising with out Hotel as required to make sure our customers arrive or depart destination as timely as possible.


Provide guidance/advice to drivers out on the road
Communicating timing changed over the weekend for customer pick up times, traffic delay or customer no shows
Handling customer queries in regard pick up times or lost property
Organising emergency customer recovery and separate pick ups and drop offs if circumstances dictate
Recording of incidents for example traffic collisions
Monitoring coach progress and coming up with solutions to vehicle failure or road traffic problems
Completion of administration tasks and paperwork as required


Who are we looking for:

Our ideal candidate will


Be a confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
Problem solving skills and remaining calm under pressure
Have strong attention to detail and administrative skills
Have experience with Microsoft Office packages and computer systems
Experience in a similar role would be desirable
Has or would be happy to be given training to obtain a PCV licence to drive a passenger coach
