Are you looking to begin or progress your career in utility surveying within a friendly, professional, and supportive environment? We are seeking a motivated Junior Utility Surveyor to join a market-leading team in Coventry.

This role is ideal for an individual with foundational hands-on surveying experience who is eager to master modern technology, including GPR and GPS, while working on critical UK infrastructure projects. The Role: Supporting senior survey teams, you will play a key role in identifying underground utilities and gathering vital site data. This is a field-based position requiring a flexible approach to working hours, including nights and staying away from home to meet project demands across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

- Technical Support: Assist with GPR and utility mapping surveys under expert supervision.

- Site Operations: Conduct investigative utility surveys and complete essential site paperwork.

- Data Management: Collate field data for survey reports and assist CAD teams with quality checks.

- Compliance: Ensure all works align with safety protocols and support Project Managers in delivery.

- Professional Development: Engage in on-the-job mentoring to review survey drawings and enhance technical proficiency.

What We’re Looking For

- Experience: Previous exposure to utility surveying, land surveying, or site-based fieldwork.

- Technical Aptitude: A basic understanding of underground utility tracing or GPR (full training provided).

- Qualifications: A valid CSCS card and a Full UK Manual Driving Licence are essential.

- Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively (particularly Midlands/North) and work away from home/night shifts.

- Desirable: Knowledge of PAS 128, CAD software, or ProQual/NVQ Level 3 qualifications. SSSTS is a plus.
