Job DescriptionJob Title: MIG Welder Location: Newmarket, CB8Hours: 08:00–17:00, Monday to FridayHours per Week: 40Contract Type: Temp to Perm position (via Workchain)Pay Rate:£14.20 per hour increasing to £15.20 once successfully passing the probation periodJob SummaryResponsible for the welding and fabrication of agricultural machinery components to a high standard, working to engineering drawings and workshop procedures.Key Responsibilities & DutiesFabrication & WeldingWeld components into completed weld assemblies Safely operate workshop machinery and equipment as required.Ensure all workshop equipment is properly maintained.Clean down the workshop and equipment after use.Health & SafetyMaintain a clean and tidy workshop to ensure a safe and secure working environment.Strictly adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures at all times.Correct PPE to be used at all timesReport all incidents to the Weld Shop Supervisor and complete relevant documentationUse training, skills, and experience to identify and assess potential risks throughout the working day.General DutiesLiaise with colleagues to support production requirements.Overtime available to support the team in busy periodsSkills & ExperienceAbout you - Ability to MIG weld to a high standard.Previous MIG experience essentialAbility to read and work from technical/engineering drawings.Experience welding stainless steel.
