We are seeking an organised, innovative and highly motivated person to join our Health and Wellbeing Faculty team based in Taunton.
The successful candidate will be responsible for organising and monitoring clinical placements for students studying BSc Nursing at the University Centre Somerset. Working closely with a range of public, private, voluntary and independent sector partners across Somerset, the post holder will further develop and facilitate effective working relationships that contribute to safe, and effective placement experiences for our students that meet required learning outcomes.
This is an autonomous role, based within a highly responsive team that place student safety at the heart of everything we do. Clinical placements are hosted throughout the county of Somerset, as such the role will include some travel at times to ensure that placement areas are safe, and to maximise successful working relationships.
Due to the complex nature of clinical placement, and the enhanced level of governance linked to Nurse education, the ideal candidate will have a track record of outstanding partnership working and administrative skills. Nursing is regulated by the Nursing & Midwifery Council and the post holder will work within clear boundaries that are in place to maintain student and public safety.
