About the Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will:
- Carry out a variety of transport duties, including long‑distance and pallet network trunking, multi‑drop deliveries, and operating curtain‑sided trailers, with flexibility to meet changing workloads.
- Provide transport services for multiple depot‑based customers, ensuring their handling and delivery requirements are met professionally.
- Operate curtain‑sided and refrigerated vehicles, ensuring correct loading, secure transport, and temperature control where needed.
- Complete thorough daily vehicle checks using the company mobile device and report any defects promptly.
- Stay in regular contact with the transport team to give progress updates, highlight delays or issues, and support effective customer service.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Confident, polite, and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
