Your new company:
We are looking to recruit passionate and motivated Tenancy Support Workers to provide person centred support to people aged 55 years and over living in their own homes across Swansea and the surrounding area. Our aim is to empower individuals to maintain their independence, manage their tenancy, maximise their income, and feel confident and supported within their community. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live safely, comfortably, and with dignity.
Your new role:
You will be supporting people in their own homes, helping them manage day to day tasks and maintain their tenancy. This includes providing practical and emotional assistance, helping with benefit forms, supporting with debt advice, and offering guidance on housing and income related matters. You will liaise with landlords, the council, and other statutory services to ensure the right support is in place.
Your responsibilities will also include arranging home adaptations where required, supporting with home maintenance, and ensuring all care documentation is accurate and up to date. You will build positive, trusting relationships with service users, helping them regain independence and confidence. This is a 35 hour per week role on a fixed-term contract initially running until 31 March 2026, with a salary of £22,932 per annum.
What you'll need to succeed:
Previous experience in a similar care or support role, ideally within a healthcare or social care setting, is essential. A compassionate and empathetic approach is key, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
You will need to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrate initiative, and be able to work independently. Knowledge of person centred care principles and a commitment to upholding dignity and autonomy are vital. Flexibility to work a range of shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays is required. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
