Salary: £20.00 - £23.00 per hour

We have an opportunity for an experienced Plumber to join a dedicated in-house maintenance team for a local council. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality service and support across social housing properties.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out reactive and planned plumbing maintenance in occupied and vacant properties, including installing and repairing baths, sinks, toilets, showers, taps, and pipework.

• Undertaking minor multi-trade tasks such as basic carpentry, plaster patching, and wall or floor tiling to complete repair works to a high standard.
• Responding to emergency plumbing situations such as leaks, blocked waste systems, or loss of water supply, ensuring prompt and safe resolutions.
• Operating hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and other relevant equipment, safely and efficiently.
• Engaging with residents in a professional and respectful manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and clear communication about repair works.
• Collaborating with other tradespeople, team members, and contractors to ensure effective service delivery.
• Maintaining accurate records of work carried out, including materials used and any follow-up actions needed.

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing
