Job Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time Computer Technician / Customer Service Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for technology and excellent customer service skills. The position involves providing technical support, managing computer systems, and assisting clients with their IT needs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining IT infrastructure and ensuring smooth operation of hardware and software systems in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Assist users with desktop support, including troubleshooting software problems, configuring operating systems, and resolving network connectivity issues such as LAN, VPN, and firewall configurations.
Manage computer management tasks such as installing updates, maintaining security protocols, and managing IT infrastructure components.
Support software troubleshooting efforts using tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, and Help Desk systems.
Perform basic network management tasks including LAN setup, troubleshooting network issues, and supporting IT infrastructure maintenance.
Assist in hardware setup, repair, and replacement of computer components and peripherals.
Communicate effectively with clients to resolve technical issues promptly while providing excellent customer service.
Document support activities accurately within ticketing systems and communicate solutions clearly to end-users.
Qualifications

Proven experience in technical support or IT support roles involving desktop support and computer management.
Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Familiarity with networking concepts such as LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and general IT infrastructure management.
Experience with troubleshooting software issues using tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, or Help Desk platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer hardware maintenance.
Excellent communication skills to effectively assist customers and document support activities.
Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity with flexible hours.
