Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week


Role Overview:

Queens Cross Housing Association is an award-winning social landlord based in the northwest of Glasgow. With 4,355 properties adjacent to the city centre and West End and the Forth and Clyde canal running through, it is a place where people are proud to live and to work. Queens Cross Group includes a Registered Social Landlord, a property management subsidiary (Queens Cross Factoring) and a social enterprise which lets commercial property (Queens Cross Workspace). Recognised for its innovation, quality services and high performance, Queens Cross Housing Association is looking to appoint a skilled Factoring Manager.

We are looking to appoint a skilled Factoring Manager with property factoring experience, who can lead and develop our services to our factored owners and mid-market rent customers.

We are looking for a Factoring professional to develop the business, improve the existing arrangements and ensure continuous business improvement. You will have strong leadership experience to lead and support staff teams in the delivery of the factoring service. You will have strong project management skills and a knowledge and understanding of the Property Factors Code of Conduct.

As a member of the Association’s Leadership Team, you will play a full role in the implementation and achievement of Queens Cross’s strategic objectives and vision of being a leader in providing excellent housing and community services and creating and sustaining vibrant communities.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused factoring service, ensuring performance, budgets and timescales are met.

Manage and develop the Factoring team, providing strong leadership, performance management and staff development.

Lead the procurement, contract management and project delivery of major repairs and maintenance works for factored properties.

Drive continuous improvement and value for money across the factoring service, ensuring compliance with the Property Factors Code of Conduct.

Oversee customer engagement, communication and complaint resolution, ensuring excellent service and learning from feedback.

Contribute as a member of the Leadership Team to strategic planning, business development and achievement of organisational objectives.


Essential Criteria:

Significant experience in property factoring and project management, including delivery of major repairs.

Proven experience of successfully leading and managing a factoring or property services team.

Strong knowledge and understanding of the Property Factors Code of Conduct and relevant legislation.

Demonstrable experience of performance management, service improvement and delivering services within budget.

Sound knowledge of building regulations, health and safety, and contractor management.

Educated to degree level, or equivalent through substantial experience in a similar leadership role, with strong leadership capability and excellent communication and organisational skills.
