Equipment, Techniques and Innovation You will gain experience in a well-equipped, modern department, including: Four Varian TrueBeam 3.0 linear accelerators Advanced IGRT imaging: online 4D CBCT, iCBCT and triggered imaging 6DOF couches for Head & Neck, Upper GI and Lung SABR treatments Abdominal compression immobilisation A wide-bore Siemens GOSIM CT scanner ARIA v15.6 oncology information system fully paperless department Raystation Treatment planning system We also deliver Brachytherapy, Orthovoltage and on-treatment review services. Our department currently delivers SABR for lung and oligometastatic disease, with prostate and spinal SABR recently introduced through our ambitious trials team and specialist radiographers. Looking ahead, we have plans to introduce Surface Guided Radiotherapy (SGRT) in 2026, supporting a move towards tattoo-less patient set-ups.
