Position Summary
To assist with running the Rope Access Equipment & NDT Equipment Store, ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, to ensure that rope access equipment & NDT equipment is fully serviceable and certified at all times (onshore/offshore and at Dyce) Maintain the rope access equipment & NDT equipment register ensuring accurate and detailed records are updated on a daily basis. To facilitate the transportation of rope access equipment & NDT equipment both on and offshore. To run and manage the day to day activities of the other stores personnel making sure all orders are packed and shipped on time.
Duties And Responsibilities
Provide day to day guidance to stores operatives, contractors, or temporary staff (where applicable).
Support the Equipment Manager in developing performance metrics and monitoring delivery.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.
Collate and maintain accurate equipment records for the purposes of invoice preparation.
Co-ordinate mobilization and demobilization of Rope Access equipment & NDT equipment to and from worksites, preparing requisitions, updating logistical spreadsheet as well as internal programmes (URSA, Peoplesoft, FRAE) FREIGHTSOURCES Source Freight - 037 from Prudhoe to Aberdeen.
Clean and inspect Rope Access equipment.
Ensure work is carried out in an efficient and cost-effective manner in order to meet planning requirements.
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the company’s operating procedures and statuary/client specifications and requirements.
Participate in company/partnership technical forums to ensure knowledge update of innovative technology.
Maintain a clean and tidy workplace in accordance with 6S.
Deliver and pick up rope access and NDT equipment as operations require.
Lease with SCM/Logistics and shipping as required and build a strong relationship.
Assist in other store activities as required.
SAFETY:
Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
OTHER:
Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
Attend company & external courses as required by the position and supervision.
Qualifications
You must have a Full UK Driving License.
Rope Access qualifications are preferred but not essential.
NDT knowledge preferred but not essential
