Year 3 Teacher – Full-time, long-term maternity cover from April 2026

Duties as Year 3 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and age‑appropriate Year 3 lessons
  • Support pupils in developing literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum skills
  • Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive behaviour expectations
  • Adapt teaching to meet varied learning needs
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Contribute to collaborative planning and team approaches
  • Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil well‑being

Ideal Year 3 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching KS2
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate learners of different abilities
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Reflective, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
  • Able to work effectively as part of a teaching team
