We are seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join our team. St Bede's Childcare Ltd was established in June 2003, providing childcare for families from birth up to 11 years of age. We have four nursery settings based in Leigh, Wigan and Bolton and a large out of school club provision also based in Bolton.
We have an excellent reputation for providing affordable, quality childcare for families and strive to ensure our staff get the best possible training and progression routes to enable them to have long happy careers with us. Some of our staff have been with us almost 20 years!
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years old.
Duties:
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities and lessons
- Create a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play in
- Observe and monitor children's development, providing feedback to parents and colleagues as needed
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other professionals as needed
- Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Experience:
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification or equivalent
- Experience working with children aged 0-5 years old in a nursery or similar setting
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well as part of a team
