Job Description:
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Compressor Technician with hands-on experience in rotating equipment to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of compressors, pumps, and other rotating machinery to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on compressors, pumps, turbines, motors, and other rotating equipment.
-Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of mechanical issues, including vibration, alignment, lubrication, and bearing conditions.
-Dismantle, repair, and reassemble compressors and auxiliary equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
-Align, balance, and test rotating equipment using precision tools and instrumentation.
-Monitor equipment performance, maintain logs, and recommend improvements or modifications to enhance reliability.
-Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
-Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to optimize equipment uptime and performance.
-Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, inspections, and spare parts usage.
-Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support shutdowns or turnarounds as required.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
-Proven experience as a Compressor Technician or Rotating Equipment Technician in industrial or process environments.
-Strong understanding of rotating machinery principles, including compressors, pumps, motors, and turbines.
-Experience with alignment, balancing, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring techniques.
-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and maintenance manuals.
-Competent in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in industrial environments.
-Relevant certifications or training in mechanical maintenance, rotating equipment, or vibration analysis is desirable.
