An established and friendly small animal veterinary practice in Northamptonshire is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their supportive and close-knit team on a part-time basis, with the potential to progress to full-time in the future.
This role is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon looking for a flexible working pattern, strong clinical freedom, and a genuinely positive working environment where high standards of care and teamwork are valued.
The Practice
This well-equipped practice offers a full range of small animal veterinary services, including:
• Preventative healthcare and routine consultations
• Soft tissue surgery and diagnostics
• Complex case work-ups and advanced treatments
You will have access to modern diagnostic equipment, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy, enabling you to work cases to a high clinical standard. The practice places a strong emphasis on continuity of care, client relationships, and collaborative working.
The Role
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will be responsible for a mix of consultations and routine surgeries, with the opportunity to manage cases from start to finish. The role includes some sole charge, so confidence and experience are essential.
This position would suit a vet who enjoys clinical autonomy, values teamwork, and is committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
The Rota
• 30 hours per week, spread over 5 days (9am – 3pm)
• 1:2 Saturday mornings (9am – 12:30pm)
• Potential for full-time for the right candidate
The Ideal Candidate
• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Confident with routine surgeries and consultations
• Comfortable with some sole charge
• Passionate about delivering high-quality veterinary care
