The Role
You will lead a small, well‑resourced class within the specialist provision, delivering personalised learning to pupils with ASD and complex needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering differentiated lessons aligned with EHCP targets
- Creating a calm, structured, sensory‑aware learning environment
- Working closely with experienced support staff to maintain consistent routines
- Using visual supports, communication systems, and personalised strategies
- Building strong relationships with families and external professionals
- Monitoring progress and contributing to reviews and assessments
- Supporting pupils' independence, emotional regulation, and communication skills
This role is ideal for a patient, creative teacher who is confident adapting learning for pupils working significantly below age‑related expectations.

What You'll Need
- QTS (essential)
- Strong UK teaching experience
- SEN teaching experience or Early Years background (highly desirable)
- Confidence supporting pupils with ASD and complex needs
- A reflective, nurturing approach to behaviour and learning
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (only shortlisted candidates will be contacted)
