We're working with a welcoming specialist school in Redruth that is looking to appoint a Specialist SEN Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people of all ages with complex and additional needs, helping them feel safe, supported, and ready to engage with learning.
Learners may have ASD, global developmental delay, sensory processing differences, and other complex needs, making this role ideal for someone who is patient, compassionate, and motivated by meaningful impact.
As a Specialist SEN Support Assistant, you'll be a key part of each learner's day, supporting both wellbeing and learning through:
- Delivering structured routines and implementing sensory regulation strategies
- Supporting pupils with adapted learning resources and personalised activities
- Providing personal care support where required (full training provided)
- Supporting communication, independence, and emotional regulation
- Working closely within a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent, high-quality support

We're looking for individuals who bring empathy and resilience:
- Compassionate, patient, and calm in challenging situations
- Experience working with SEN or high-needs learners (or a strong desire to learn)
- Committed to inclusive education and person-centred support

- Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check
- A genuinely rewarding role supporting learners with complex needs
