Responsibilites:

· Sewing Coats
· Sewing other garments
· Hand sewing (basic)
· Preparing machine by changing needles and thread; securing attachments
· Braiding
· Using other types of machines (for example)
Basting
Zig-Zag
Blind Hemmer
Overlocker
Button Hole Machine
Pressing Equipment
· Maintains quality by inspecting finished product/ work
· Adhere to all company policies, procedures, business code of ethics and other company requirements
· Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required

Education:

• Essential – a good solid education is essential, with a minimum of GCSE passes in Maths and English or equivalent
• Essential – Good PC skills.
• Fluent English speaking

Experience:

• Experience in a similar role, which demonstrates practical and interpersonal skills to a high competent standard

Aptitudes:

• Excellent verbal and good basic standard of written communication skills
• Understanding of garment construction
• Competency in understanding garment specifications
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• A solid understanding of cloths and braids
• Good organisational skills
• Sound numeracy and basic computer literacy
• Able to work systematically and use own initiative
• A commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must demonstrate a strong sense of customer focus
• Results/task orientated
