Main duties and responsibilities As an Events specialist, you will analyse, produce and manage a portfolio of high Return On Investment events for the charity Develop an informed events strategy developing both the income and awareness profile of the charity across the next three years Assess market trends and analysis and define a new generation of systems Provide a strong risk assessment framework which incorporates key health and safety legislation, using DATIX and EVOTIX. Provide a comprehensive and professional donor journey for supporters. Work closely with the Fundraising Assistant to ensure robust and timely systems to process and thank attendees and participants quickly and accurately. With support from the Communications team, generate timely content for social and traditional media coverage of events and supply high quality photographs Effectively follow all appropriate protocols and policies for the handling donations and the accurate recording of supporter information. Work with the Fundraising Assistant to ensure all relevant information is recorded in line with the Data Protection Act 2018. Work closely with the rest of the Fundraising Team (Fundraising Assistant, Community Fundraiser and others) to ensure a seamless donor experience for all supporters and where necessary coordinate cover at events. Present accurate progress reports and fundraising updates at meetings as appropriate, including reporting to Charitable Funds Committee and the Corporate Trustee. Share knowledge, skills, and areas of expertise with other members of the team. Understand and advise staff on all relevant event policies and processes. To be the lead for training staff and volunteers on event management. To be the lead on high-value Trust-wide events, such as Staff Conference and STAR Awards, working with external partners including Divisional leads from Communications, Procurement and Finance. Responsible for monitoring, analysing, and reviewing performance of fundraising activities to ensure effectiveness; and to provide relevant data and insights to inform plans and strategy Willing and able to work flexibly, with travel between hospital sites and to external contacts. Attend events which may fall out of regular office hours. Maintain excellent, co-operative and supportive relationships with hospital staff, volunteers and staff from charities supporting the hospital, including at the most senior level across the board. Carry out any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role and delegated or requested by the manager or supervisor, as required. The role will involve regular contact with high-net worth individuals, senior business leaders, celebrities, the music industry and Members of Parliament. Learning and development Attend mandatory training updates as required. Undertake training as necessary in line with the development of the post and as agreed with the line manager as part of the personal development process. Achieve and demonstrate agreed standards of personal and professional development within agreed timescales. Identify own learning needs and jointly plan training requirements with your line manager Participate in the Trusts appraisal process to discuss how your role will help deliver the best possible care to our patients and help to deliver any changes in service.
