About this Role
As a SEND Intervention Mentor, you will support students across Gloucestershire College who have additional learning needs, including EAL. You will help learners build confidence, independence, and skills for learning and work by providing targeted support and regularly reviewing progress to achieve positive outcomes. You will support students with EHCPs, SEND, and English as an Additional Language (EAL) who are referred for extra help. You will deliver short, targeted programmes, usually over six weeks, to support study skills, assignment writing, language development, and wellbeing.
About You
GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or Functional Skills Level 2
Experience working with learners aged 16+
Experience supporting learners with English as an Additional Language (EAL)
Experience delivering and leading one-to-one or small group sessions
Experience supporting learners with a range of learning differences, including dyslexia, ADHD, and autism
