We are a Supported Living service in Battle and want dedicated people to join us. Your role will involve working alongside adults with a learning disability to help them to realise their potential, live life to the full, build independent skills and live their best life. The role is varied, no two days will be the same. Support Workers provide whole life support - this could be supporting an individual with personal care or attending a medical appointment, helping them budget plan and food shop or support an individual to learn to undertake their own domestic tasks or attend a recreational activity or interest or being in their home with them so they are safe.
We are looking for Support Workers to work at weekends only. We have two vacancies for 22.5 hours per week, and one vacancy for 30 hours per week.
Weekend shift patterns will be either 7.30-1500, 14:30-22:00 or 09:30-17:00.
Worried that you don’t have the right skills? Our aim is to build a team where your uniqueness will enhance the service people receive. Whether you have previous experience in the field or you are new to working with people with a learning disability, your life skills, great attitude and desire to support people to lead fulfilling lives is why we want to hear from you.
We are passionate about our staff, which is why we’ll do everything we can to help you to develop both personally and professionally through your time with us.
We are looking for candidates who:
Have a positive attitude towards the rights of people with learning disabilities
Have communication and organisational skills,
Are self-motivated
Are committed to providing excellent support.
Willing to undertake training required to complete the job role
Have an ethos of working together
