Summary
We are looking for a qualified level 2/3 nursery practitioner to work in the preschool room of our nursery. The successful applicant will be responsible for a key group of children and be responsible for planning a stimulating programme of activities suitable for their stage of development. They will also be required to observe their key group and assess their stage of development accurately. All staff, students and volunteers working for our setting will have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection concerns, including the potential abuse and neglect of children and young people, which may come to light in the course of their work. Where a staff member, student or volunteer, at whatever level in the organisation, identifies risks to children, they will highlight them and seek to ensure that appropriate steps are taken to safeguard the children concerned.
The successful applicant will need to provide 2 acceptable references and complete a DBS check.
The position will be 32 hours a week over 4 days(Tuesday - Friday) The position is initially for Maternity cover but the contract will be extended where possible. Starting wage will meet minimum wage requirements.
We also include the requirement for an additional criminal records check (or checks if more than one country) for anyone who has lived or worked abroad, the cost of these checks will be met by the applicant.
