Overview

4 ON 4 OFF - DAYS

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Lead to oversee daily production activities within our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of food safety standards, and mechanical knowledge to ensure smooth operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team committed to maintaining high-quality food production processes in compliance with industry regulations. The Operations Lead will play a pivotal role in coordinating teams, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and optimising operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily food production activities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Implement and monitor HACCP procedures to maintain compliance with food safety regulations.
Oversee the training of staff on food safety practices and operational procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities, identifying maintenance needs and liaising with technical teams for repairs.
Maintain accurate records of production metrics, quality checks, and safety audits.
Assist in developing and improving operational workflows to optimise productivity.
Ensure all team members follow health and safety guidelines, promoting a safe working environment.
Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the production process.
Requirements

Proven experience in food production or manufacturing environments, with a focus on food safety standards such as HACCP.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to industrial equipment used in food manufacturing.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance processes.
Basic maths skills for inventory management, measurements, and data analysis.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Good communication skills to liaise across departments and ensure clear dissemination of information.
Previous experience in supervising or leading teams within a fast-paced environment is preferred.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail. This role is integral to maintaining our commitment to producing safe, high-quality food products while fostering a positive work environment for all team members.
