We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to manage this amazing team of clinicians in our Cluster 3 Team which is based in Central Park, Manchester to cover maternity leave. The team work across GM to support the delivery of Perinatal care to women and people with mental illness in a variety of community settings, encouraging principles of the recovery approach.

Although it would be an advantage, you do not need previous experience of working in perinatal mental health, as training and development is something we pride ourselves on with plenty of opportunities for team members to build on their skills and knowledge with excellent training and robust supervision to support delivery of high-quality care.


The role will include following:

To provide clinical and managerial leadership to the day-to-day operation of the Specialist Perinatal Service within the resources available within your defined area, monitoring workload, allocating duties, and providing expertise and guidance in complex and high risk cases in line with Trust policies and procedures.

Performance monitoring and management.

To coordinate recruitment and selection of staff within the team, leading on decisions as designated by the service manager.

To ensure that all staff access appropriate and relevant training and that they are released to do and complete all mandatory training.

To ensure that staff maintain patient and clinical records and electronic records safely and to a high standard

To ensure that all aspects of HR, including recruitment, retention, grievance, and discipline matters and performance issues are managed in accordance with Trust policies

All aspects of Safeguarding are adhered to

Ensure that complaints are investigated fully, within the time limits and satisfactorily resolved with the complainant.

To provide effective leadership and management to staff which promotes high performance standards both individually and as a team,

Communicate regularly through meetings with teams and individuals and provide opportunity for two-way feedback.
