We are looking for an experienced and motivated Convenience Store and Post Office Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our store and in-store Post Office. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys leading a team, delivering excellent customer service, and managing a busy retail environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, maintaining high standards, and creating a positive experience for both customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities
• Manage the daily operation of the convenience store and Post Office
• Lead, motivate, and support the team to deliver high levels of customer service
• Recruit, train, and develop staff, including managing rotas and attendance
• Ensure compliance with Post Office procedures, security, health, and safety requirements
• Monitor sales performance, control costs, and improve efficiency
• Maintain high standards of stock control, merchandising, and cash handling
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues in a professional manner
• Be hands-on and support the team on the shop floor and Post Office counter when required
Experience
• Previous experience managing a convenience store, retail store, or Post Office
• Experience supervising or managing a team
• Experience working with sales targets, reports, and daily cash procedures
Skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Good organisational and time management abilities
