You’ll assist in the delivery and development of a programme of activities and events. By doing so, you’ll help to create an enjoyable experience for everyone that visits and help them understand more about our place.

This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We’ll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts. You're likely to average 3 days per week.

Salary: £12.75

Contract/duration: Fixed term until Aug 31st 2026

What it's like to work here
Reporting to the Visitor Experience Manager, you’ll work within a passionate and proactive team of staff and volunteers to deliver educational visits and seasonal programming at the Longshaw Estate in the Peak District.

The Peak District portfolio plays a key role in delivering the National Trust’s nature-focused strategy, welcoming large and diverse numbers of visitors across a complex and dynamic landscape. Working closely with colleagues, partners and volunteers, you’ll help deliver activities to school groups and visitors, ensuring activities are safe, accessible and well-run .

What you'll be doing
As a champion of exceptional visitor experiences, you'll join a high performing team to give visitors a truly memorable day out assisting with the delivery of events and activities as part of Moorland Discovery Centre. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. You’ll help link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do. You’ll deliver high standards of presentation on site and ensure all our communications with our visitors around the property is clear and consistent.
