As the face of our busy car parking and visitor sites, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the area, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Contract/duration: Fixed term until 2nd November 2026

Hours/working pattern: This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We’ll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.

This is a flexible role where no 2 days are the same, a typical shift is working from 1-5 days per week depending on the needs of sites and times of the year (for example likely to be 3-5 days per week during “peak weeks”) this includes working weekends and bank holidays.

Length of typical shifts vary between 5-8 hours per day, between the hours of 7.30am - 5pm. You will be able to travel to a minimum of 3 sites (1 per day) to offer optimum cover. We ask you take any annual leave outside of the school holidays.

Planned interview dates: 25th,26th,27th February

Potential start date: Mid to late March 2026

For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

What it's like to work here
Sandy beaches and dramatic cliffs attract a large number of visitors every year and we are looking to fill 4 roles to work across our busy sites at Holywell, Crantock, Carnewas and Trevose and Pentireglaze, each uniquely different (due to the geographical spread of the sites, we ask that applicants can commit to working a minimum of 3 of these locations).

Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll be working as part of small team, in pairs or lone working, this varies from site to site and time of year.

This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role, on a rota basis. As there isn’t a set working pattern, we would ask for flexibility in working days especially during the peak weeks. If candidates have existing home commitments, these can be shared with us prior to employment, and we will try our best to accommodate them. Working days to include bank holidays and weekends. Rotas are completed in advance but subject to change to suit business needs, but we would always give you as much notice of this as possible for any changes.

What you'll be doing
Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. Offering a warm welcome, you’ll be on hand to provide key information to our visitors and help with any queries or needs they may have. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can when they visit our places.

Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide.

This role would suit anyone with enthusiasm for delivering great customer service, loves the outdoors and being active.

In busy times you'll also assist with traffic management. Other duties include general cleaning (some sites include toilet cleaning) and maintenance, compliance checks and signing up members.

You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all of the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what’s possible in this role.
