Summary

Bid and Proposals Apprentice

We're looking for a Bid and Proposals Apprentice to join our Transportation Team based in Manchester, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Bid and Proposals Coordinator.



Transportation - Build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people.  We provide transport solutions that are sustainable, long-lasting and that promote various methods of transport https://www.kier.co.uk/who-we-are/our-business-divisions/   



This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.



Location: Salford, Manchester

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £20,800

Start Date: September 2026

How does an apprenticeship work?

As a Bid and Proposals Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Bid and Proposals Coordinator, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the BID team to support bid managers with the coordination and administration of tender activities.

Your day to day will include:

-Assist in compiling high‑quality bid content, such as case studies, CVs, and evidence packs.

-Liaise with internal teams to gather information and support the development of compliant, compelling submissions

-Managing bid related communications - such as client tender clarifications

-Engage in structured learning as part of the Level 3 Bid & Proposal Co‑ordinator Apprenticeship

The role of Bid and Proposals Apprentice is great for you if you:

-Have GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths and English

-Are willing to learn

-Self-motivated, punctual and organised

-Able to communicate clearly, both verbal and written
