Summary
Open Door Project CIC is seeking a Beauty & Hair Skills Tutor to deliver practical, hands-on sessions supporting women to build confidence, wellbeing, and employability skills.
About the role
You will lead engaging workshops introducing beauty and hair techniques in a supportive, culturally sensitive environment. Sessions may support personal wellbeing, social connection, or pathways into further training or work.
You will:
• Deliver practical beauty and/or hair skills sessions
• Support beginners with little or no previous experience
• Create a relaxed, encouraging learning environment
• Promote confidence, self-esteem, and peer support
• Adapt sessions to meet cultural needs and comfort levels
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
• Warm, patient, and encouraging
• Experienced in beauty, hair, or related skills
• Comfortable teaching small groups
• Passionate about empowering women
Experience & qualifications
• Practical or professional experience in beauty or hair is required
• Teaching experience is helpful but not essential
• Formal qualifications are welcomed but not required
Languages especially welcome
Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic, Tigrinya, Turkish, Farsi/Dari, Pashto, Sudanese Arabic, Romanian, Lithuanian, Ukrainian
