Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in estates, construction, or facilities projects? Do you thrive on delivering complex, high‑value projects that make a real difference?
At QA Higher Education, we’re passionate about creating outstanding learning environments for our students and staff. We’re now looking for a Project Manager (Estates) to join our Project Management / Operations team and lead the successful delivery of estates and facilities projects across our UK portfolio.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Lead estates and facilities projects end‑to‑end, from initiation through to completion and evaluation
- Act as the central point of contact, coordinating internal teams, external contractors, and senior stakeholders
- Develop project briefs, plans, budgets, and timelines, using structured project management methodologies
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change control to keep projects on track
- Oversee procurement and tender processes, ensuring value for money and compliance
- Provide clear, evidence‑based updates and recommendations to senior leaders
- Ensure all projects meet quality, safety, and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate project documentation and complete robust project close‑out activities

What You’ll Bring

- Proven experience delivering construction, civil engineering, or estates projects, typically with budgets over £1m
- Strong technical understanding of construction processes, legislation, and industry standards
- Confident use of RAID management and structured project controls
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and strong attention to detail

Desirable:

- Experience with health & safety, procurement, contracts, and financial management
- Familiarity with RIBA Plan of Work and project management software
- Professional qualification or chartership (e.g. RICS, CIOB, MICE, RIBA)
