What skills and experience we're looking for

Sussex Learning Trust is seeking to appoint a motivated, committed and professional individual to join Warden Park Primary Academy as Deputy Headteacher. Working closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team, the Deputy Headteacher will play a central role in providing clear vision, leadership and direction, ensuring the academy is well organised and continues to reflect the shared aims and values of its community.

We are looking for someone who:

• Demonstrates a professional and confident approach to working with colleagues, with the ability to build and sustain effective relationships
• Can lead, motivate, support and challenge staff to secure continuous improvement in teaching and learning
• Has high ambition for pupils and staff, with a clear focus on raising standards and improving outcomes
• Shows a strong understanding of how different roles within the academy contribute to whole-school effectiveness, and can support others to fulfil these roles well
• Builds excellent relationships with children and brings a genuine commitment to, and enjoyment of, the role of school leadership
