The Governors of St. Simon’s Catholic Primary School seek to appoint a highly skilled and conscientious Teaching Assistant, who is a dedicated and compassionate educator with the ability to inspire young minds. They wish to appoint someone who will play a pivotal role in supporting our pupils' academic and spiritual journey, who will work closely with class teachers to deliver high-quality interventions, support pupils with diverse needs, and help maintain our school’s distinctive Catholic ethos.
The successful candidate will be welcomed into a team committed to continually raising standards and will be responsible for working in designated classrooms or across the school. They will be effective in supporting our teachers to deliver the National Curriculum in a creative and enjoyable way.and will be expected to:
Support Learning: Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy to bridge learning gaps.
Empower Pupils: Work with all children, including those with specific educational needs (SEND), ensuring they have full access to school life.
Foster Faith: Support the Catholic ethos of the school through participation in daily prayer, assemblies, and the spiritual development of our pupils.
Collaborate: Work closely with the Class Teacher to monitor progress, adapt resources, and maintain a positive classroom environment.
