Our client, a leading educational provider in Elland, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of students, supporting their educational and personal development.
As a Part-time SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). - Assisting in the delivery of lessons and activities, adapting materials and approaches as necessary to ensure accessibility and engagement
- Monitoring student progress and collaborating with the teaching team to identify and address any areas of concern
- Maintaining detailed records and contributing to the development of SEND-related plans and reports
- Participating in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge
The ideal candidate for this Part-time SEND Teaching Assistant position will have:
- Relevant experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEND
- A strong understanding of SEND-specific teaching strategies and interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the willingness to accommodate the unique needs of each student
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest SEND-related practices and research
