Colchester Institute is looking for an enthusiastic Events and Outreach Co-ordinator to lead the planning and delivery of our outreach and events programme—showcasing the exciting opportunities our College offers to future students, schools and the wider community.Job Title: Events and Outreach Co-ordinatorFull TimeAbout the RoleIn this varied and fast-paced position, you will take the lead on delivering impactful presentations, workshops and events across local schools and colleges, as well as supporting major internal events such as Open Events, Familiarisation Days and Graduation. You’ll be a key representative of the College, helping to elevate our visibility, strengthen our partnerships and contribute to our strategic growth.You’ll also play a central role in content creation—capturing photos and videos, managing social media activity (with a focus on LinkedIn) and delivering targeted email campaigns that help drive engagement. With a creative eye and excellent organisational skills, you’ll help shape our events and outreach presence across multiple channels.What You’ll DoDeliver engaging presentations and workshops to schools and collegesBuild lasting relationships with key education partnersLead and support internal and external events, including GraduationOrganise and represent the College at regional and local exhibitions (some evening/weekend work required)Capture photos and video content for live event coverageCreate and schedule social media content to promote events and outreach activityDesign and distribute email marketing campaigns, using automation and AI tools to enhance performanceAnalyse data to identify growth opportunities and improve engagementSupport general marketing tasks including photography, video creation, proofreading and designAssist with research into competitor institutions and sector trendsPromote Equality, Diversity and Safeguarding in all aspects of the roleWork collaboratively as an integral member of the Marketing TeamAbout YouWe’re looking for someone who is:A confident public speaker with great communication skillsHighly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple events at onceCreative, especially with digital content and social mediaComfortable engaging with students, staff and external partnersData-driven, with an interest in improving processes and engagementA strong team player who contributes positively to shared goalsYou MUST be able to driveWhy Join Us?At Colchester Institute, you’ll be part of a supportive, forward-thinking Marketing Team where fresh ideas are welcomed and professional development is encouraged.
