Your new company
An established, award‑winning fit‑out contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team in Leeds. Operating across the UK this organisation delivers high‑profile projects within the retail and hospitality sectors and is known for exceptional quality, repeat business, and a collaborative culture.
Your new role
This is a key permanent role within a fast‑paced environment, ideal for someone who is proactive, commercially astute, organised, and eager to take ownership of diverse, fast‑track projects. You'll be joining a business that invests in its people, encourages progression, and offers exposure to a wide range of contract types and blue‑chip clients.
You will support the commercial function across multiple live projects, taking responsibility for:

  • Establishing project budgets and allowances
  • Managing valuations and agreeing variations
  • Preparing CVRs and profitability forecasts
  • Identifying labour and material requirements, obtaining quotations, and liaising with procurement
  • Managing subcontractor and specialist supplier payments
  • Preparing and agreeing final accounts promptly post‑completion
  • Supervising and developing junior team members


What you'll need to succeed

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying (or related discipline)
  • Minimum 5 years' post‑qualification experience with a contractor, ideally within fit‑out
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence handling complex projects independently
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients and subcontractors
