Educate Staffing is currently recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a well-established school in St Albans. This role is available for an immediate start and would suit someone who is enthusiastic about working with children and supporting learning in a classroom environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is committed to helping pupils thrive both academically and personally.
Role Overview
In this role, you will provide day-to-day support within the classroom, working alongside teaching staff to ensure pupils receive the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting teachers during lessons and classroom activities
Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
Helping pupils to stay focused and engaged with their learning
Providing additional support to pupils with SEN or learning difficulties when required
Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
Helping to create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Supporting pupils during break times, transitions, and school activities
Following safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Working closely with teachers and other support staff
Person Specification
To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate the following:
An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or the ability to obtain one immediately
Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school setting
A supportive, patient, and dependable approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Flexibility and a positive attitude towards supporting a range of pupil needs
Eligibility to work in the UK
