"Language is the road map of a culture. It tells you where its people come from and where they are going."

Are you a passionate linguist ready to inspire the next generation of Francophiles? Randstad Education is currently seeking a dedicated French Teacher to join a high-performing secondary school community in the Woking area.

This is a pivotal role starting after the Easter break, offering the stability of a permanent contract or a 'temp-to-perm' transition for the right candidate.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality French lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, preparing students for their GCSEs with creativity and academic rigour.

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan and execute engaging lessons that develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

  • GCSE Preparation: Support Year 10 and 11 students through the AQA or Edexcel syllabus, focusing on exam technique and linguistic confidence.

  • Inclusive Learning: Adapt resources to support all learners, from those with SEN to high-attaining pupils.

  • Cultural Enrichment: Foster a love for the French-speaking world through authentic resources, film, and literature.

What We Offer
  • Flexible Pathways: Choose between an immediate permanent contract or a trial period via temp-to-perm.

  • Competitive Pay: Salary paid to scale (M1-UPS3), reflecting your experience and expertise.

  • Professional Growth: Access to school-based CPD and Randstad's digital training platform.

  • Strategic Location: Excellent transport links across Surrey and a supportive local consultant to manage your transition.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.

  • Subject Expertise: A degree in French or a related subject, with the ability to teach up to KS4 (KS5 experience is a bonus).

  • Experience: Proven track record of raising attainment and managing classroom behaviour effectively.

  • Compliance: An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Work Rights: Valid eligibility to work in the UK (we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role).
