An opportunity has arisen for experienced and motivated Nursery Nurses to join Central London Community Healthcare, working with the Health Visiting Team in the Inner London Borough of Westminster. This is a chance to play a meaningful role in supporting children and families, contributing to the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and helping shape positive futures across our diverse communities.
We have one part-time (0.6FTE) vacancy based at Queen’s Park Children’s Centre, Queen’s Park.
• Participate in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, working across a range of community settings, including family homes.
• Act as a key member of the 0–19 team, providing efficient, high-quality clinical support within the Health Visiting service.
• Assist with, or carry out, delegated clinical interventions as part of the Healthy Child Programme, working in partnership with Health Visitors to ensure safe, consistent and compassionate care.
• Offer parents and carers evidence-based advice on positive parenting skills, including:
o Understanding and supporting child behaviour
o Weaning and nutrition
o Play and early stimulation
o Speech and language development
o Sleep routines and sleep management
o Toilet training Supporting families in these areas helps promote children’s development and contributes to school readiness.
• Engage with families in an inclusive, respectful and empowering way, recognising and valuing the diverse needs of the local community.
• Demonstrate accountability in all aspects of practice, maintaining high standards and contributing to a positive team culture.
