We are looking for an enthusiastic, kind and inclusive Infant Feeding Lead Midwife to join our fantastic public health team.

You will take the lead to promote, protect and sustain best practice in relation to infant feeding issues across maternity services.

The post holder will be responsible for co-managing the infant feeding team.

You should:
• Act as a clinical expert and resource for first line information for families and professionals in promoting, supporting and normalising breastfeeding, safe infant feeding practices and responsive parenting.
• Ensure the infant feeding team offers appropriateemotional support and practical adviceto families within the care of the maternity services where needed.
• Promote and maintain the ethos of Family Integrated Care
• Strive to increase breastfeeding numbers in line with government targets, nationalspecifications and locally recommended guidelines
• Ensure policies and trust guidelines are upheld in order to promote and maintain a quality service
• Audit and monitor initiatives and quality improvements to increase breastfeeding and breast milk numbers and standards of care within the service.
• Provide education and training for the multi-disciplinary team working across the Maternity services.
• Work as part of the infant feeding team to continue initiatives towards achieving full UNICEF baby-friendly accreditation and other quality improvements within the maternity services.
